Governing Terms and Conditions

These are the only terms and conditions which are binding upon a Seller with the exception of those otherwise agreed in writing by the Seller which are imposed by a statute such as the Consumer Law and which cannot be excluded. Any direction by the Buyer either verbal or written to procure goods or services from the Seller will be deemed as acceptance by the Buyer of these terms and conditions, despite any provisions to the contrary in the direction or any Purchase Order issued by the Buyer.


While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of the information on this Site, neither Beacon Safety nor any of its officers, employees or agents accept any responsibility or liability for any loss occasioned by a person relying on the information or statements contained on this site.

All pricing has been entered in good faith – should there be an error Beacon Safety reserves the right to contact the purchaser to rectify this error. The purchaser may at this point choose to cancel their purchase having received the correct price.

Please independently check all information. We have made considerable effort to ensure that the website is up to date and free from errors.

Please be aware that products are regularly altered or updated by all manufacturers. These changes may not in all cases by immediately reflected in the technical detail or illustrations on the website due in part at least to the logistical issues of stock sold out, time taken for website updates and delivery lead times. Some items requiring specialized transportation, delivery to locations not on a standard courier run, negotiated commercial quantities, accounts nominated with discounts on specific products and other orders of an unusual nature may be excluded from the freight free offer. We will endeavour to inform all customers prior to dispatch.

Credit Application / Trade Account Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the exclusion of all others including any terms and conditions of the customer except where the exclusions are noted and signed by Beacon Safety Ltd and the Customer.


Payment is due no later than the 20th of the month following the date of invoice. All goods remain the property of Beacon Safety Ltd until full payment has been received. All payments to be made to Beacon Safety Ltd. Beacon Safety reserve the right to determine the level of credit extended to the customer. Supply can be withheld from accounts failing to meet any of the terms of this agreement.

Interest from due date will be charged on overdue accounts at a rate of 12% pa charged monthly. Beacon Safety Ltd reserves the right to consign any outstanding debt to a third party any legal action and or debt collection action/cost required to recover any amounts outstanding will be added to the account.

All prices quoted or supplied on the website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$).


If the goods supplied are purchased for business purposes the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply to these terms.

To the extent allowed by New Zealand law in no event shall the liability of Beacon Safety Ltd exceed the price of the goods supplied by Beacon Safety Ltd. Beacon Safety is therefore not liable for any indirect or consequential losses or expenses suffered by the Customer or any third party, howsoever caused, including but not limited to loss of turnover, profits, business or goodwill or any liability to any other party.

To the extent allowed by New Zealand law the customer indemnifies and keeps Beacon Safety Ltd indemnified against all loss suffered or incurred by the customer arising out of use of the goods which loss may be caused by the negligent or willful act or omission of the customer or modification or alteration of the goods by the customer or the customers employees, agents or contractors or any failure by the customer to use the goods in accordance with the  manufacturers and suppliers instructions or common or accepted industry practice. To the extent allowed by New Zealand law the customer releases and indemnifies Beacon Safety Ltd against any liability arising out of the failure by the customer to properly notify others as to the suitability or manners of using the goods.

Warranty claims on product must be forwarded to Beacon Safety Ltd and will be repaired, replaced, or credited in that order at Beacon Safety Ltd.’s discretion.

It is intended that in no way are these terms to have the effect of contracting out of the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 except to the extent allowed by the Act – these terms are to be altered to the extent necessary to give effect to that intention.


All pricing is subject to alteration without notification. All prices quoted or supplied on the website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$).


Prices listed are exclusive of GST. The Customer will pay Goods and Services Tax at the applicable rate on every order.

Inspection and Acceptance

Customers will be deemed to have accepted goods as being in accordance with the order unless Beacon Safety Ltd is notified within 4 days of the receipt of the order.

All deliveries attract a freight charge unless the order exceeds to amount allocated for free delivery. Any agreement to return goods must be in writing. Returned goods attract a 15% restocking fee unless waived by Beacon Safety Ltd

Delivery within NZ only. No overseas purchases accepted.

Use of Goods

Prior to the use of goods, the customer will ensure the goods are used only in accordance with the manufacturers and supplier’s instructions. The customer shall be responsible for inspecting the goods and making an assessment as to their suitability, having regard to the use to which such goods will be used for.

Use of Information

The customer authorises Beacon Safety Ltd to make enquires about the customer from any other third part to assist credit approval and management of any credit facility granted. The customer authorises any third party to provide Beacon Safety Ltd with such information as it may require in response to its credit enquiries. Consent is granted for use of this information in relation to credit enquiries.

Force Majeure

Beacon Safety will not be liable to the Customer whatsoever for any defect, loss, damage or delay caused by strikes, lock outs, damage to or breakdown of plant, government interference, earthquake, civil commotion, or any other force majeure event beyond Beacon Safety’s control.

Privacy Policy

Please note that when registering for more information or in completing and submitting any form on this website, you will be providing us with personal information. We will hold this information and use it to develop our relationship with you and to send you information about our services or products that may be of interest. Under the Privacy Act 1993 you have the right to access and correct your personal information.

Beacon Safety Ltd will not disclose any information supplied (such as your name, address, email address or telephone number) to any outside organization, unless authorized to do so.


This website (and the goods and services described in it) are governed by and are to be interpreted in accordance with New Zealand law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beacon Safety Ltd accepts no responsibility for the compliance of the information in the website with the laws of any other country.


Beacon Safety Ltd is not responsible to you by law, by statute or in equity or otherwise for any loss, damage or injury incurred by you (whether direct or indirect) arising from the material or from an inability to use this website. If, however the law limits Beacon Safety’s ability to exclude this liability, or it is held liable to you, then (unless the law requires otherwise) its liability is limited to the cost you directly incurred to view this website.
