Beacon Safety Hits the Pitch With the Women’s Indoor Cricket Team

Sometimes, good things happen by chance. Our collaboration with the Women’s Indoor Cricket Team became one of those moments. 

When we entered a sponsorship raffle earlier this year, we didn’t expect the result to take us all the way to the Indoor Cricket World Cup. And yet, here we are. 

In a surprising turn of events, we won naming rights for the New Zealand Women’s Indoor Cricket Team, which meant Beacon’s logo was set to appear on the shirts of some of the country’s top players.

The timing couldn’t have been better. The squad was preparing for the Indoor Cricket World Cup, streamed live on YouTube and followed by supporters around the world. 

For our staff, it was a proud moment to see their company’s name represented on the international stage. For Beacon as a whole, it was an excellent opportunity to back a strong, dedicated team. 

A Sponsorship Draw That Paid Off in Silver

What started as a simple raffle turned into a sponsorship story worth celebrating.

Beacon Safety’s name travelled with the national women’s team throughout the tournament, appearing on every shirt, interview backdrop, and highlight clip. While the matches weren’t broadcast on a central sports channel, the YouTube coverage alone gave the team significant exposure and attracted many viewers nationwide. 

Viewership aside, the results of the match are also worth talking about. The players fought their way through to the finals, finishing the tournament second overall and bringing home a Silver medal for New Zealand!

It was a campaign filled with teamwork, determination, and well-earned success (values Beacon knows all too well).

Across Beacon’s branches, there was genuine excitement watching the matches unfold. Our staff tuned in to see the players take on international competition with Beacon’s logo proudly displayed.

The sponsorship couldn’t have been a better representation of what Beacon Safety stands for: supporting people who work hard, stay dedicated, and represent their country with pride.
